Winnebago Scout Reservation, located in the hills of Rockaway NJ, is the setting for this Webelos Winnebago Jones resident camping experience. The staff puts on an incredible program! Join us for Winnebago Jones and the Quest for the Arrow of Light in 2014.

Camp Program

During your stay at camp, have fun with BB guns, archery, waterfront (swimming, boating and fishing), handicrafts, Scoutcraft, ecology, sports, games, Miss Winnie pontoon boat, skateboard half-pipe, water trampoline, Mager Mountain, batting cage, hikes and more. Be sure to take advantage of our our bathrooms and shower house with flush toilets.

An emphasis will be placed on earning activity badges as well as Sports and Academic belt loops and pins; while enjoying the many outdoor activities offered in our camp. See more information ...

Winnebago Jones Quest The program has been designed to capture the interest of 9 and 10 year old boys. Program goals are to give each Scout an opportunity to start working on activity badges, to learn more about the world we live in, and to develop a greater appreciation for the outdoors.

Webelos Resident Camp provides a natural bridge from Cub Scouting to the many activities in Boy Scouting. The boys and adults sleep on canvas cots in wall tents on platforms. Everyone will enjoy great food in our dining hall. Your evenings are spent around the campfire with songs and skits.

Upcoming Webelos can attend camp with

  • their pack* or
  • their den* or
  • as an individual with a parent or
  • as an individual with no adult: These boys are grouped together in our provisional pack, and Patriots' Path Council provides trained adults to meet BSA's leadership* requirement

* Adult leadership is required for all participants. A parent can come with their own son(s). Or, you must have two adult den/pack leaders for the first eight Webelos and one more leader for every eight additional Webelos. The camp can also provide adult leadership.

Summer camp is probably the greatest experience that your Webelos Scout will have in the normal Scout year. The camp program and schedule are the responsibility of the program director and staff. The primary responsibility of every staff member is to see that each Scout stays safe, while having fun at camp. The staff is well trained and eager to help the program succeed.

As far as the boys are concerned, the biggest goal of Scouting is to have FUN,
and through that, they will meet the other goals.
