Going
to camp is probably the greatest experience that your Webelos Scout
will have in the normal Scout year. The camp program and the scheduling is the
responsibility of the Program Director and Staff. The primary
responsibility of every staff member is to see that each Webelos Scout
stays safe while having a fun time at camp. The staff is well trained
and eager to help the program succeed.
The program provides a natural bridge from Cub Scouting to the many activities in Boy Scouting. The boys and leaders sleep in tents on platforms and spend their day pursing outdoor skills combined with many fun activities, including aquatics and sports. Everyone will enjoy great food in our dining hall. Choose either a 3 or 4 day camp. Your evenings are spent around the campfire with songs and skits.
Winnebago Scout Reservation,
located in the hills of Rockaway, New Jersey, is the setting for this
Webelos (4th & 5th grades, September 2010) overnight camping
experience. The staff puts on an incredible program!
Return to the Wild West in 2010. Bring your cowboy hats and saddle up for a great program. During your stay at Webelos Resident Camp, your Webelos can have fun at our BB gun range, Archery range, Waterfront (Swimming, Boating and Fishing), Handicraft lodge, Ecology area, Sports and Games field, Miss Winnie pontoon boat, Water Trampoline, going on hikes and more.
You
may also work on the following Activity Badges: Aquanaut; Archery;
Artist; Athlete; BB Gun; Craftsman; Forester; Geologist; Handyman; Naturalist; Outdoorsman; Readyman and Sportsman. All Activity
Badges may not be offered—depending on number of sign-ups. In
addition, the Webelos Resident Camp program has been designed to
capture the interest of 9 and 10 year old boys. The program
goals are to give each Webelos Scout an opportunity to start working on activity badges, to learn more
about the world we live in, and to develop a greater appreciation for
the outdoors.
As
far as the boys are concerned, the biggest goal of Scouting is to have
FUN,
and through that they will meet the other goals.
Webelos can attend Webelos Resident Camp with his
A parent can come with their own son(s), otherwise you must have two adult Den/Pack leaders for the first eight Webelos and one more leader for every eight additional Webelos. This program does not include siblings.
