What is Backwoods Engineering Camp?
Backwoods Engineering Camp is a one week long program exploring the many ways of safely solving problems and building projects using only simple tools and materials. Over the week you will learn how to safely build towers, bridges, catapults, derricks and pioneering tools using ropes, spars and your own wits. Learn how to put the six simple machines to work for you so that you can accomplish difficult tasks with minimal effort. Multiply your human strength many, many times to safely move large obstacles. See the world in a whole new way as you discover simple machines in everything you do. You will meet people who share your interests and learn new skills to teach other membes of your Troop..
