Summer Camp Employment

2013 Summer Camp Staff

Patriots’ Path Council, Boy Scouts of America employs over 250 people every summer at our five Boy Scout and Cub Scout camp facilities. All applications for staff and counselor in training (CIT) positions must be submitted online. CITs must be at least 14. The online application greatly simplifies the process to apply for a position.

Cub Scout Day Camps

Camp Wheeler and Watchung Day Camp

Camp Wheeler is located in Stanhope, New Jersey and Watchung Day Camp is located in Mountainside, New Jersey. The camps operate from late June to early August. The participants are 7 to 10 year old boys. Free bus transportation is provided for Camp Wheeler day camp staff.

Boy Scout Resident Camps

Camp Somers, Camp Winnebago and Sabattis Adventure Camp

Camp Somers is located in Stanhope, New Jersey. Winnebago Scout Reservation is in Rockaway, New Jersey. Sabattis Adventure Camp is located in Long Lake, New York in the Adirondack Mountains. Room and board is provided for staff. The participants are 11 to 17 years old.

The camp directors will contact applicants for an interview. Registration with the Boy Scouts of America will be required upon employment.
