Beaver Day

Please help improve our camps

Dear Unit Leader:

This brief information package continues the recruiting efforts for the Beaver Day program in 2014. The program has enjoyed great success in years past – this year should be no exception! Please review the enclosed information, contact the volunteer representatives with any questions, and plan to motivate your unit with the program and service opportunities that these activities represent.

Beaver Day is a day long program during which units and individual volunteers work on improvement projects at the Winnebago Scout Reservation and the Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation on April 26, 2014. In past years, 500+ dedicated Patriots' Path Council volunteers have attended Beaver Day – leaving the camp in finer condition than when they arrived. The Council Property Management Committee guides projects.

The Beaver Day program involves individual and unit recognition, provides opportunities for youth leadership, enhances unit cohesiveness and contributes to a stronger council camping program.

Please contact the following representatives, via written correspondence through the council service center and register your support for these programs. We would like to know your unit'ss plans and goals. For immediate questions or concerns call the numbers listed below:

Curt Haak - Winnebago Scout Reservation Director (973) 983-9075
Keith Dlugosz - Mt. Allamuchy Reservation Director (973) 347-3266

Please register online for the camp of your choice.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Yours in Scouting,

PPC Property Management Committee
Beaver Day Committee
Adopt-a-Site Committee

Please note: Regardless of past participation in Beaver Day, each unit must register online. Projects will be assigned based on the order in which the applications are received.
