Dear Unit Leader

Dear Unit Leader:

This brief information package continues the recruiting efforts for the Beaver Day program in 2010. The program has enjoyed great success in years past – this year should be no exception! Please review the enclosed information, contact the volunteer representatives with any questions, and plan to motivate your unit with the PROGRAM and SERVICE opportunities that these activities represent.

BEAVER DAY is a day long program during which units and individual volunteers work on improvement projects at the Winnebago Scout Reservation and the Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation on TBD. In past years, 500+ dedicated Patriots' Path Council volunteers have attended Beaver Day – leaving the Camp in finer condition than when they arrived. The Council Property Management Committee guides projects.

The ADOPT-A-SITE program is a yearlong maintenance and improvement effort undertaken by a registered Patriots' Path Council unit. The unit leadership plans a long term improvement project for a site or area in camp, receives guidance and approval from the Council Property Management Committee, and finances the project through unit fund raising efforts or by securing donations from vendors. High priority projects include campsite pavilions, bulletin boards, flagpoles and tent outriggers.

Both BEAVER DAY and the ADOPT-A-SITE programs involve individual and unit recognition, provide opportunities for youth leadership, enhance unit cohesiveness and contribute to a stronger Council camping program.

Please contact the following representatives, via written correspondence through the Council Service Center and register your support for these programs. We would like to know your units' plans and goals. For immediate questions or concerns call the numbers listed below:
